Fourteen runners took to the streets of New York City to support the bleeding disorders community during the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in March. They also raised $28,522 to support NHF programs and services.

Team NHF members included high school senior Zach Oatley, of North Canton, Ohio, who was the team’s fastest runner, finishing in 1 hour, 33 minutes.

“Team NHF is an example of the strength of the bleeding disorders community,” says NHF CEO Val D. Bias. “Every step they took is a testament to what we can achieve not only personally, but also by banding together for a common goal.”

NHF is proud to be an official charity of the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, November 3. The event is an amazing opportunity to increase awareness of bleeding disorders, as well as raise much-needed funds to support NHF’s mission. When you commit to NHF’s team, the Red Tie Runners, you not only get an automatic coveted spot in the marathon, you will also get the thanks and appreciation of the 3.1 million people in the US who live with bleeding disorders.
