During the last few months, Americans have experienced wildfires, tornadoes, hurricanes, flash floods and earthquakes. If a disaster strikes your community, are you prepared?

September is National Preparedness Month, and the 20th is Get Ready Day. The American Public Health Association’s Get Ready Campaign offers fact sheets, blogs, podcasts and more to help you prepare for a potential disaster. Check out the free materials on the Get Ready Web site.

Learn how to create an emergency supply kit, and an evacuation and shelter plan. Most important, don’t forget your bleeding disorders medication and supplies.
